Editorial Standards

Editorial Standards: How We Review

All VoIP Providers explains Voice over IP and cloud-based phone systems for general business and healthcare use. This page describes how we source, write, and correct our guides.

What we rely on

Where a claim touches telecommunications regulation, we cite the Federal Communications Commission (FCC.gov). Where a claim touches HIPAA or the handling of patient information over a phone or messaging system, we cite HHS.gov and the HHS Office for Civil Rights. Where we describe security practices such as encryption, access control, or logging, we reference NIST publications. We do not treat a vendor's own marketing claims as independent findings.

How we compare providers and approaches

We don't publish star ratings, "best of" rankings, or vendor-supplied pricing tables — VoIP pricing is negotiated, bundled by seat and feature tier, and changes too often for a static number to stay accurate. Instead, our guides lay out the categories of features, contract terms, and compliance questions that matter, so you can hold any specific provider's claims up to a consistent framework rather than take our word or theirs.

Corrections

Found an error — a broken source link, an outdated FCC or HIPAA reference, or a factual mistake? Tell us and we correct it. Use the contact page to reach us.

Update cadence

Articles are reviewed periodically and updated when the underlying regulation or technology changes materially. Each article notes when it was last updated.

Independence

All VoIP Providers is an independent, vendor-neutral publisher. We do not sell phone service, accept payment for favorable coverage, or publish sponsored reviews. This site is part of a network of educational resources operated by Medcurity, Inc.
